Badger's phone was red hot this afternoon with news that the silly seat swopping season is far from over.
I say silly because I can't really fathom the logic behind the latest whispers.
Andrew Pitt, who has amazed Badger this season with stunningly aggressive and hard riding from Misano onwards has been booted out of the Yamaha Motor Italy squad to be replaced by tired old warhorse and Championship-loser Troy Corser. All Badger can say is, I hope they didn't pay much for him.
Poor old Andrew Pitt. Even though he's clearly got the Yamaha R1 working for him and got himself working well enough to be up at the sharp end of the field in qualifying, Superpole and racing, he is deemed to be a less attractive proposition than fellow Aussie Troy Corser. Perhaps Haga wanted a team mate he could beat regularly?
Or perhaps Corser just jumped to the nearest ship because the prospect of being in the same pit garage as moaning Max Biaggi was too horrific to even contemplate.
Other rumours filtering in to the Badger's set are that Chris Walker is probably coming back to BSB on a Kawasaki and Michael Rutter is off to Rizla Suzuki along with Cal Crutchlow.
Badger's money is on Andrew Pitt this weekend at Magny Cours...
