1. If you were a bike, what would you be?
A motocross bike

2. Describe yourself in one word?
Survivor

3. What's the most embarrassing bike you lusted over in your youth?
A scooter my dad made me as my second motocross bike when I was 5

4. What were you riding when you first topped 100mph?
RD250LC

5. What should the speed limit be on a clear and empty motorway?
No limit

6. What's the fastest you've ever ridden on a public highway?
160mph

7. What's your favourite road?
Wrynose Pass in the lakes

8. What's the most you would spend on a bike?
A lot - if I had it spare

9. Who do you admire in the biking world?
Dave Thorpe - former motocross world champion

10. What would you do with your last gallon of fuel?
Put it in a motocross bike

11. What bikes would you own if money were no object?
CCM retro range, cafe racer and flat tracker, and I'd make myself the fastest, trickest sports bike

12. What's the maddest thing you've done on a bike?
An end-of-season race with the lads on Ainsdale Beach, Southport. Cars and bikes all together, crashes and unorganised chaos!

13. Have you ever had to spend the night in jail?
Nearly

14. What's on the horizon in your field of work?
To take CCM to the next level

15.What are you reading at the moment?
Roy Keane's autobiography

16. What's your proudest achievement?
Winning the British four-stroke motocross championship in 1981. I won 19 of 20 races and was second in the 20th

17. Do motorcycles inform your work, and if so in what way?
They are my work. They are my life

18. If you could switch careers what would you do?
I'd be a film star for the money or a gamekeeper for the satisfaction. Maybe I could play a gamekeeper in a film!

19. Are you paid enough?
No

20. What would you like your epitaph to be?
Err... Dont know. Sorry
